Nutzungs­bedingungen

1. Worum es geht

Duocuna hilft Paaren, gemeinsam einen Babynamen zu finden: Ihr bewertet Namen getrennt, und gefällt euch beiden derselbe, entsteht ein Match. Duocuna gibt es als App für iOS und Android und als Web-App unter app.duocuna.com. Angeboten wird es von Dimitri Wolf unter der Bezeichnung „Selftronix“ (Impressum unter duocuna.com/impressum). Diese Bedingungen gelten für die Nutzung von Duocuna; mit der Registrierung stimmst du ihnen zu.

2. Konto

  • Für Duocuna brauchst du ein Konto. Du musst mindestens 18 Jahre alt sein.
  • Ein Konto gehört einer Person. Gib eine E-Mail-Adresse an, die dir gehört, und halte dein Passwort geheim.
  • Du kannst dein Konto jederzeit löschen, in der App, in der Web-App oder per E-Mail (duocuna.com/konto-loeschen).

3. Was du beachtest

  • Dein Anzeigename ist für deinen Partner sichtbar und für Personen, denen du einen Einladungscode gibst. Wähle keinen Namen, mit dem du dich als jemand anderes ausgibst, und keinen, der andere beleidigt oder Rechte Dritter verletzt.
  • Lade nur Personen ein, die du kennst und die mitmachen wollen.
  • Greif nicht auf Konten anderer zu, umgehe keine Schutzmaßnahmen, frage den Dienst nicht automatisiert ab und belaste ihn nicht absichtlich.

Verstößt ein Konto erheblich gegen diese Regeln, können wir es sperren oder löschen. Wir sagen dir vorher Bescheid, außer der Verstoß lässt das nicht zu.

4. Kostenlos und ohne Gewähr

  • Duocuna ist kostenlos und enthält keine Werbung.
  • Wir bemühen uns, dass Duocuna zuverlässig läuft, können aber nicht zusagen, dass es jederzeit verfügbar und fehlerfrei ist.
  • Angaben zu Namen – Bedeutung, Herkunft, Beliebtheit, bekannte Namensträger – stammen aus öffentlichen Quellen und eigener Recherche (siehe „Datenquellen & Lizenzen“ in der App). Sie dienen der Anregung; für ihre Richtigkeit und Vollständigkeit übernehmen wir keine Gewähr. Ob ein Name als Vorname eingetragen werden kann, entscheidet das Standesamt.

5. Haftung

Wir haften unbeschränkt für Vorsatz und grobe Fahrlässigkeit und für Schäden an Leben, Körper oder Gesundheit. Im Übrigen ist die Haftung ausgeschlossen, soweit das Gesetz es zulässt.

6. Ende

  • Du kannst die Nutzung jederzeit beenden, indem du dein Konto löschst.
  • Wir können Duocuna einstellen. Dann sagen wir es mindestens 30 Tage vorher in der App an. Was beim Löschen eines Kontos mit deinen Daten geschieht, steht in der Datenschutzerklärung.

7. Änderungen

Ändern sich diese Bedingungen, sagen wir es dir in der App, bevor die neue Fassung gilt. Bist du nicht einverstanden, kannst du dein Konto löschen.

8. Recht

Es gilt deutsches Recht. Wohnst du in einem anderen Land, bleiben dir die zwingenden Verbraucherschutzvorschriften deines Landes erhalten.

1. What this is about

Duocuna helps couples find a baby name together: you rate names separately, and if you both like the same one, it becomes a match. Duocuna is available as an app for iOS and Android and as a web app at app.duocuna.com. It is offered by Dimitri Wolf under the name “Selftronix” (legal notice at duocuna.com/impressum). These terms apply to the use of Duocuna; by registering you agree to them.

2. Account

  • You need an account for Duocuna. You must be at least 18 years old.
  • An account belongs to one person. Use an email address that is yours and keep your password secret.
  • You can delete your account at any time, in the app, in the web app or by email (duocuna.com/konto-loeschen).

3. What you keep in mind

  • Your display name is visible to your partner and to people you give an invitation code to. Do not choose a name that impersonates someone else, insults others or infringes the rights of third parties.
  • Only invite people you know who want to take part.
  • Do not access other people’s accounts, do not bypass protective measures, do not query the service automatically and do not deliberately overload it.

If an account seriously breaks these rules, we may suspend or delete it. We tell you beforehand unless the breach does not allow for it.

4. Free and without warranty

  • Duocuna is free and contains no advertising.
  • We try to keep Duocuna running reliably, but cannot promise that it is always available and free of errors.
  • Information about names – meaning, origin, popularity, well-known people – comes from public sources and our own research (see “Data sources & licences” in the app). It is meant as inspiration; we give no warranty that it is correct or complete. Whether a name can be registered as a first name is decided by the registry office.

5. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

6. Ending

  • You can stop using Duocuna at any time by deleting your account.
  • We may discontinue Duocuna. If so, we announce it in the app at least 30 days in advance. What happens to your data when an account is deleted is set out in the privacy policy.

7. Changes

If these terms change, we tell you in the app before the new version applies. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

8. Law

German law applies. If you live in another country, you keep the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country.
